Violet Dezern Spillman

Spillman Yadkinville- Mrs. Violet Ruth Dezern Spillman, 75, of Old US 421 Highway East passed away, Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem. She was born November 21, 1936 in Forsyth County to the late Harvey and Hattie Black Dezern. Mrs. Spillman was a loving, devoted, wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was a member of Forbush Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her two sons, Michael Spillman and Judson Spillman. Surviving are her husband of 58 years, Benjamin C. Spillman, Sr., of the home; 3 children, Benjamin C. (Linda) Spillman, Jr., Libby Spillman, and Roselyn (Joe) Ramirez; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Spillman, March Dancy, Michael Dancy; a sister, Hazel Dezern; and a brother, Roy Dezern. Her funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday at Forbush Baptist Church by Rev. Joe Souther. Burial will follow the service in the Forbush Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation for Mrs. Spillman at the funeral home. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Spillman Family.
