II Timothy 4: 6-8 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them that love his appearing. A beloved husband, father, and grandfather Thurmon Hugh Hall, 85, passed away Sunday May 20, 2012 at Woltz Hospice Home surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born January 15, 1927 to the late Rufus Paul & Edna Brown Hall. He was a devoted Church member of Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church which he loved dearly and also loved his church family. Mr. Hall served in the Unites States Navy during World War II. Mr. Hall retired from Hooker Furniture. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 66 years and 3 months Bernice Hyatt Hall, of the home; two daughters Linda Parks, of the home; Brenda Russell, Yadkinville; one son Thurmond (Vickie) Hall Jr., Walnut Cove; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two great-great- grandchildren; many special friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday May 22, 2012 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Gentry Family Chapel by Rev Larry Stone and Rev. Mark Sumner. Burial will follow at Mount Herman Baptist Church cemetery with full Military Honors by VFW Post 10346.
