William Foster Snow

Snow Yadkinville- Mr. William Foster Snow, 88, of Shore Road passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born March 22, 1924 in Surry County to the late William Abner and Levora Williamson Snow. Mr. Snow worked all of his life as a farmer, enjoyed going hunting and fishing, and loved to play his banjo. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving in World War II. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his 2 sisters, 5 brothers, and 2 sons-in-law, Lynn Redding and Michael Royall. Surviving are his beloved wife of 65 years, Nancy Gay Greer Snow, of the home; his children, Becky Redding, Gary Snow, and wife, Cathy, Margie Royall, Chris Snow, all of Yadkinville; Patricia Lopez-Snow, and husband, Ramn of Charlotte; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Lala Doss, Yadkinville, Thelma Jurney, Union Grove; and a brother Spencer Snow, Yadkinville. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation 3:00 PM Saturday in the Gentry Family Funeral Chapel by Rev. Hal Finney. Burial will follow in Yadkin Memorial Gardens with Full Military Honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346. Memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
