YADKINVILLE- Mr. Alvin Eugene Renegar, 79, of Patterson Mill Road passed away peacefully Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at his home. He was born June 9, 1946 in Yadkin County to the late Luther B. and Linda Myers Renegar. Mr. Renegar worked several years at Unifi, Inc. but was a tobacco farmer for most of his life. He was always working outside, fixing different things for his family and the community and loved planting and taking care of his garden that he loved to share with his family and friends. He was a faithful, devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather to his family. Mr. Renegar especially loved his grandchildren, and found no greater joy that being with them every second he could. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Charles Franklin Renegar and Luther Renegar; his sister, Ivy Davis; and great-granddaughter, Bailey Ann Jester. Surviving are his beloved wife Linda Gail Carlton Renegar, of the home; his sons, Randy Eugene Renegar and wife, Lora, Billy Keith Renegar and wife, Regina, Larry Scott Renegar and wife, Christie, Christopher Gray Renegar and wife, Shana; 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Turner, Nellie Speer, Fannie Doss, Brenda Renegar, Bobbie Renegar; and a brother, Radford Renegar. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 3 PM Sunday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Bill Bates. Interment will follow at his home immediately following the service.
