Alyson R. Pinnix

Miss Alyson R. Pinnix, 47, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. She was born in Forsyth County on October 6, 1978 to Roy Allen Pinnix and Linda Caudle Pinnix. Alyson graduated from Starmount High School in 1996. She then attended Surry Community College, where she graduated with an associate degree. Alyson worked at Carolina Eye Center for many years and truly enjoyed her job. She loved spending time with her cats. Some of Alyson’s favorite things included watching wrestling, especially the Hardy brothers, listening to rock music, eating Mexican food, but most of all, spending time with her nephew, Dakota. She was a very kind person who was always putting others before herself. Alyson had a great personality and was so easy to talk to. She was well loved and will be missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

Alyson is survived by her loving nephew, Dakota McCann, and many special work friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ginger Pinnix McCann.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Hauser officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Alyson’s memory to Magnify Ministries, 1336 Lone Hickory Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055, or your local humane society. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Pinnix family.
