Anne Pyle Ivey

Mrs. Anne Pyle Ivey, 85, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born November 20, 1939 in Mercer County, West Virginia to the late George Wellbourn Pyle II and Mildred Glover Pyle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, George Pyle III; her sister, Jean Miller; and a cousin, Blair Deskins. Mrs. Ivey worked in the medical profession all of her professional life. She retired from Forsyth Hospital with 24 years of service. After retirement she went back to Forsyth Hospital as a volunteer for 20 years. Anne also volunteered at Yadkin Christian Ministries. She loved bowling and the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. She is survived by her beloved husband of 50 years, Jerry Ivey; daughter, Christy (Lawrence) Zornes; grandchildren, Nicole (Will) Zornes, Crystal (Carlton) Zornes; great-grandchildren, Sasha, Anton, Carly, Caylee, Kole, and Caitlyn; sister-in-law, Doris Pyle; nieces, Sammi Lambert, Renee Pyle, Suanne (Devin) Baker, Jennifer (Mike) Holden; cousins, Haley Lambert, and Tucker Holden. The family will receive friends, Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Yadkinville United Methodist Church. A celebration of life will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM, at Yadkinville United Methodist Church. The family would like to say a very special thank you to Anne’s care giver Pennie Boyd for the wonderful, magnificent loving care shown to Anne and her family and also a special thank you to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice.
