Annie Smith Greene

Pfafftown - Annie Ruth Smith Greene, 80, passed away peacefully at her home on October 22, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on July 31, 1945, in Galax, Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of the late Sadie and Montie Smith.

Annie was married to the love of her life, Jimmy Leff Greene, for 64 devoted years. Together they built a life centered on love, faith, and family. Annie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many. She loved her family deeply and took great pride in caring for them—her love was evident in every meal she prepared, every story she shared, and the warmth she brought into every room.

An impeccable homemaker, Annie had a gift for making everything she touched more beautiful. She kept her home and her beloved husband polished and cared for with pride and love. Her attention to detail and eye for beauty turned everyday spaces into warm and welcoming places.

Annie began her walk with Christ in the early 1970s at Vienna Baptist Church. Her faith became the foundation of her life, guiding her actions and nurturing her spirit. In her later years, Annie found great joy in recalling and sharing treasured memories and reflecting on a life well lived.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jim Greene; daughter Rhonda (husband Mike); granddaughter Kayla Tucker (husband Matthew); and two precious great-grandchildren, Summer Tucker and Corbin Tucker. Her legacy of love, grace, and devotion will live on in each of them.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Gentry Family Chapel in East Bend by the Rev. Ben Webb and the Rev. Rex Tolliver. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend.

Annie’s life was a testament to the beauty of faith, family, and friendship. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
