Asael pasaba mucho tiempo afuera en la naturaleza y jugando en su celular. Le gustaba bailar, pero rara vez lo presumía por timidez. A Asael le encantaban los autos rápidos y siempre se emocionaba cuando podía andar en ellos; le encantaba cualquier cosa que le subiera la adrenalina. Amaba a su perro, Chop. Asael tenía un gran sentido del humor y siempre andaba haciendo tonterías. Será muy extrañado por todos los que lo amaban.

Le sobreviven su madre, María Bertha Alonzo Velázquez; su hermana, Adilene Aguilera Alonzo; hermanos, Ethan Nathaniel, Iker y Nathanael; abuelos, Dominga y Anatolio, y Verónica; tías y tíos, Gavino, Lencho, Cayaco, Adelina, Isabel, Beny, Severo, Bernardo y Froylan. Le precedió en la muerte su papá/abuelo, Isabel Aguilera Gutiérrez.

La velación se llevará a cabo desde las 9:00 a.m. del jueves 9 de julio de 2026 hasta las 12:30 p.m. del viernes 10 de julio de 2026 en su residencia. La misa funeral se llevará a cabo a las 2:00 p.m. el viernes 10 de julio de 2026 en la Iglesia Católica Divine Redeemer en Boonville, NC. El entierro seguirá en los Jardines Conmemorativos Yadkin. Asael Aguilera-Alonzo, 16, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026. He was born in Forsyth County on December 7, 2009 to Maria Bertha Alonzo-Velazquez. Asael attended Parkland Highschool. He worked in construction on commercial properties. Some of his favorite things to do included sleeping, boxing, and smoking. His favorite colors were black, blue, and white. Asael loved Chinese food and he was always snacking on something. He had an interest in guns and he loved listening to his music. Asael spent a lot of his time outside in nature and playing games on his phone. He liked to dance, but rarely showed it off out of shyness. Asael loved fast cars and was always thrilled when he could ride in them – he loved anything that would get his adrenaline pumping. He loved his dog, Chop. Asael had a great sense of humor and was always goofing around. He will be very missed by all who loved him.

He is survived by his mother, Maria Bertha Alonzo Velazquez; sister, Adilene Aguilera Alonzo; brothers, Ethan Nathaniel, Iker, and Nathanael; grandparents, Dominga and Anatolio, and Veronica; aunts and uncles, Gavino, Lencho, Cayaco, Adelina, Isabel, Beny, Severo, Bernardo, and Froylan. He was preceded in death by dad/grandfather, Isabel Aguilera Gutierrez.

A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 9, 2026 until 12:30 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at his residence. A funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church in Boonville, NC. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Aguilera-Alonzo family.
