Barbara Hutchens Hoover

Barbara Hutchens Hoover, 84, passed away on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Willowbrook Rehab and Care Center. She was born September 29, 1938, in Yadkin County to the late John Hutchens and Ida McCormick Hutchens. She was preceded in death by sisters Frances Moser, Margaret Dixon, Nell Salmons, Evelyn Loggins and Wilma Allgood; and by a brother, John Loyd Hutchens. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Barbara worked for RJ Reynolds for over 30 years. Music was her greatest    love and she sang in many churches over the years. The Family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Gentry family funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Stephen Evans. Burial will follow at Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Hickory Hall who took loving care of Barbara; and the SECU Hospice House for their compassion and love to Barbara.
