Barbara Greer Morgan

Mrs. Barbara Ellen Greer Morgan, 95, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was born February 5, 1929 in Yadkin County to the late Jerry and Annie Bell Mitchell. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husbands, Worth Greer and Frank Morgan; sons, Ernest Gene Greer and Bill Morgan; brothers, Seth, Luther; sisters, Lula, Hazel, Emma Lou, Katie Bell and Eva. Mrs. Morgan was formerly employed by the Kennett Square Mushroom Cannery. She is survived by her sons, Wilford Greer and wife, Star, and Frank Morgan and wife, Nancy; daughters, Brenda S. Charlton, Freda Stroupe, and Linda Hamm; brother, Jerry Kent Mitchell; sister, Annie Mae King; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends, Monday, June 3, 2024 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel. Burial will follow in the Yadkinville Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Morgan family.
