Berry Eugene Outen

Mr. Berry Eugene Outen, 83, of Belews Creek passed away September 2, 2026. He was born April 11, 1943 in Union County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bunk and Virginia Rape; his father, Claude Outen; his beloved wife of 61 years, Frances Louise Outen; grandchildren, Dayna Outen and Victor Hardy; his siblings, Charlie Ray Outen, David Neil Outen, and Wanda Sue Boger. Mr. Outen was a member of Welcome Door Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He is a veteran of the United States Army. Berry loved his church and was always willing to help in any way possible. He was an avid gun enthusiast, taking his truck to classic car shows, and he loved spending time with family and friends over a good meal. Mr. Outen is survived by his children, Dean Outen, and Angela (Freddie) Taylor; grandchildren, Ashley Livengood, Bradley Outen, Daniel Culler, Misty Illescas, Freddie Taylor Jr., and Amanda Kossek; eighteen great-grandchildren; his sister, Pat Busse; and many additional extended family. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:45 AM, Saturday, September 5, 2026 at Welcome Door Baptist Church, 6741 Vance Rd, Kernersville, NC 27284. His funeral service will follow beginning at 12:00 PM at the church with Pastor Brian Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory, Walkertown, North Carolina with military honors. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Welcome Door Baptist Church in Berry's honor. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Outen family.
