Betty Binkley Snow Doby

Mrs. Betty Binkley Snow Doby, 81, departed this world on Saturday, March 21, 2026 and is home resting with Jesus, awaiting her new resurrected body after battling for years with heart problems. Betty was born to James and Ella Binkley of Clemmons, NC, on June 24, 1944. Betty married Jackie Snow and they raised four children together. After the death of Jackie, she married Billy Doby. Betty enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves and doing word searches. She loved bird watching and her flowers, especially roses. Most of all, her most treasured thing to do was spend time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Jamie (Tammy) Snow of Jonesville, Diane Traphofner of Mocksville, Patricia Barnes of Mocksville, and Gail Snow of East Bend; grandsons, Bryan (Laura) Snow and Dalton (Casey) Scott; granddaughters, Nicole Snow, Brittany (Chris) Day, Jennie Barnes, and Abby (Jeremy) Whitaker; great-grandsons, Jackson Young and Maverick Snow; great-granddaughters, Jack Day (fiancé, Zaden), Isabelle Day, Amzie Snow, Jenna Parsons, Jayme Snow, and Audyn Scott; and sisters, Marie Pyrtle, Rosie (Jim) Bowman, and Joann Leisure. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both husbands, Jackie Snow and Bill Doby; sons-in-law, Ned Barnes, Mike Traphofner, and Doug Scott; and brother, Henry Binkley.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, March 23, 2026 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 in the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Dr. Charlie Kennedy and Rev. Joel Riley officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Baptist Church. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Gentry Family Funeral Service to assist with the funeral expenses for Mrs. Doby. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Doby family.
