Mrs. Betty Coe Hardy, 82 of Jonesville, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023. Betty was born in Surry County, July 25, 1941 to the late Connie Hall Coe and Frances Wood Coe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo King, her second husband, Roger Pinnix, her granddaughter Hailey Adams, her bonus-daughter, Mindy Hardy, her sisters, Virginia Mathis, Linda Cleary, Gertha Coe, Connie Coe, and brother Ray Coe. Betty was a selfless and hardworking lady who sacrificed for her family. She was a member of East Elkin Full Gospel Church. She enjoyed being outside with her flowers and hummingbirds, but her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren. Those left to cherish the memory of Mrs. Hardy include her husband Clyde Hardy, her children, Sherry (Dean) Key of Lewisville, Lynn (Chris) Gardner of Jonesville, Jennifer (Todd) Birch of Statesville, bonus-son, Ben (Christin) Hardy of Union Grove, brother, Jerry (Glenda) Coe of Thurmond, and special brothers-in-law, Jupe Cleary and Rex Mathis. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brittany (Will) Adams, Destiny (Cody) Amburn, Sydney (Will Daniels) Birch, Jacob (Allie Hager) Birch, Ashley (Mark) Riley, Rylee Hardy, Holly Harris, Will Harris and Parker Anderson. She is further survived by her great-grandchildren, Carson Cheek, Kason Cheek, Kayden Cheek, Ava Adams, Mason Adams, and Maddie Riley. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at East Elkin Full Gospel Church, Saturday, December 30, 2023. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM at the church with Pastor Jerry Childress and Cody Amburn officiating. Burial will follow at Fall Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Hardy family.
