Betty Alene Milholand, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior on the 5th of October, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late John D. and Cornelia Pardue on the 28th of November, 1940. Betty was dedicated to her family and loved playing card games like rummy and go-fish. She was Richard Petty's biggest fan and loved the number 43. She had many hobbies, including quilting, playing Sudoku with an ink pen, beach trips to Kure Beach, working in her flower garden, bird watching, particularly cardinals, and lighthouses. Betty was a lifelong member of Hanes Grove United Methodist Church. She was loved deeply by all her family and will be missed greatly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Floyd Milholand; son, David Milholand; sister, Jessie (Clyde) Cromer; and sister-in-law, Glenda Pardue. She is survived by her sons, Lester (Nancy) Milholand, Danny (Patty) Milholand, Stevie (Tracy) Milholand, Jimmy Milholand; daughters, Lisa (Steve) Webster, Sherry Gibson; daughter-in-law, Amy Hauser; grandchildren, Candy (Shane) Childress, Kim (Jeff) Holder, Ashley (Josh) Loeser, Daniel (friend Erin) Milholand, Christina (fiancé Barry) Howell, Scott (Brie) Milholand, Tiffany (Matthew) Warren, Josh (Allyssa) Webster, Ryan (Haley) Milholand, Alesha (friend Thomas) Milholand, Molly Gibson; great grandchildren, Bayden Childress, Baylee Childress, Keegan Holder, Kyleigh Holder, Katelyn Holder, Cameron Howell, Logan Howell, Waylon Milholand, Olivia Warren, Beau Webster; sister, Nancy (William) James; brother, Johnny Pardue; sisters-in-law, Shelby Oliver, Elanor Phillips; step-grandchildren, Jimmy, Ray, Michele, Joshua, and Steven; and numerous nieces, nephews, and step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Victory Junction at 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317. A visitation will be held for Betty Milholand on the 8th of October, 2025, at Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held the following day at the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville at 2:00 PM, and burial will take place after the service at Hanes Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the caring staff of the Mountain Valley Hospice for their care of Betty, as well as Dr. Peterson and his staff at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital. The staff of Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville will be serving the Milholand family.
