Mrs. Betty Louise Gough Nicholson, age 76, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 2, 2022.  She was born on October 1, 1945 in Yadkin County to the late Charlie “Pat” and Louise Pinnix Gough. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Nicholson and grandson, Dakota Gregory.

She is survived by her daughters, Dawn (Mark) Sale, April (Scott) Gregory; grandson, Steven Nicholson; great-grandson, Noah Nicholson; sister, Tonja (Johnny) Hutchens; niece, Keena Hutchens. Betty enjoyed baking and watching her sports teams. Her favorites were her UNC – Tarheels and the Golden State Warriors.  Betty also loved to read her Bible.  

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 3 PM at Marler Road Baptist Church with Pastor Randy Johnson officiating.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 PM.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Mountain Valley hospice at 243 North Lee Ave., Yadkinville, NC 27055.
