Yadkinville -  Mrs. Betty Adkins Palmer, 74, passed away peacefully at Monday, October 17, 2022 at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital.  She was born May 1, 1948 in Nicholas County, West Virginia to the late Logan Mirl and Louise Mourey Adkins.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.  Surviving are her 3 sons, Jimmy Palmer and wife, Kathy, Timmy Palmer, Billy Palmer; father of her children, Dwight Palmer; her close companion, Mac Chandler; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Karen Johnson (the late Stoney); Norma Collins, and husband, Ted, Gail Price, and husband, Terry; her brother, Glendon “Spike” Adkins and wife, Helen; and a special thank you to Jeffery Price for all of his loving help and support.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  A graveside service will follow the visitation at 3:30 PM Thursday in Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
