Betty Harris Stokes

Betty Harris Stokes went to be with her Lord and Savior on the 15th of June, 2025. She was born to the late Frank and Ruth Harris on the 16th of October, 1947. Betty was a longtime member of Longtown United Methodist Church where she served as Youth Fellowship leader. She had a passion for quilting and was a member of the Yadkin quilting Guild. Betty also enjoyed fishing but more than else, she loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Lorri Stokes; and Brother, Donny Harris. Betty is survived by her son, Charles (Melissa) Stokes; grandchildren, Jacquie Stokes Mullins, and Kimberly Stokes; Great-grandchildren, Rylan Stokes, and Sophya Mullins; brothers, Tommy Harris, Motson Harris, and Steve Harris.

The family will be meeting with friends and family on Wednesday the 18th of June, 2025 at the Gentry family Funeral Service in Yadkinville from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held the following day at 11:00 AM at Longtown United Methodist. A burial ceremony will take place after the funeral in Longtown Cemetery. The staff of Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville will be serving the Stokes family.
