Bobby Gray Davis

Mr. Bobby Gray Davis, 94, passed away Monday, August 31, 2026 at Forsyth Hospital. He was born January 2, 1932 to the late Stark Wolford Davis and Annie Martin Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Gray Davis; his sisters, Joan Burton, and Betty Reavis; his brother, Aldean Davis, and an infant brother, Charles Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church and had attended there since 1955. He is a veteran of the United States Army. Bobby loved running a chain saw, especially cutting wood to heat his house for the winter. He and Patty enjoyed gardening as long as their health permitted. He is survived by his beloved wife of 73 years, Patty Hennings Davis; his grandsons, Adam Davis, Jed (Stephanie) Davis; great-grandchildren, Stephen Gray Davis, Landon Gray Davis, Charlee McWatters, McKenzee Davis; sister, Carolyn (Foy) Hicks; brother, Richard Davis; sisters-in-law, Greta Church, Linda Hauser, Brenda Hauser. The family will receive friends, from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, September 4, 2026 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM in the Gentry Family Chapel with military honors by Yadkin VFW Post #10346. Burial will follow at Shady Grove UMC cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St Jude’s, or Shriners Children’s Hospital, or the Disabled Veteran’s Association. Gentry Family Funeral Service of East Bend is serving the Davis family.
