Bobby Gray Hoots Jr.

Bobby Gray Hoots Jr. passed away on the 4th of March, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to the late Bobby and Frances Hoots on the 28th of April, 1955. Bobby was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing. He also was a talented woodworker and loved sharing his talent with friends and family. Bobby was a loving husband, father, friend, and will be missed greatly by those who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Kay Hodge; parents-in-law, Shelby and John Fallin; and nephew, Kinney Cave. He is survived by his loving wife, Patti Hoots; his dog and best friend, Bailey; children, Bobby Dwayne (Debbie) Hoots, Melinda (Alex Gonzalez) Hoots, Brandi (Corey Karahalios) Lawson, Matthew Lawson, Angie King; grandchildren, Waylon (Austin), Corey, Tyler, Jose, Katie, Deserie, Kathleena, Cherilynn, Elektra, Ambrosia, Hayden; great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Kason, Ella, Eli, Skylar, Corbin; brother, Ray (Judy) Hoots; close friends, Tommy York, Zane Riddle, Kirk Cleary, Tanis Probst; brother-in-law, David (Lesa) Fallin; and sister-in-law, Linda (Teddy) Flippin; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 6th, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M at Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the loving and caring staff of Woltz Hospice Home of Dobson, especially Kevin Wiles for his gentle care of Bobby. The staff of Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville will be serving the Hoots family.
