Mrs. Bonnie Mae Hemric Atkins, age 95, of Jonesville, NC went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2022. She was born on June 8, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late George & Rosa Gambill Hemric. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Lee Atkins; sisters, Edna Boyd, Unis Hemric, Maxine Barker, Annie Billings, Grace Ross; brothers, Dewey Hemric, Ralph Hemric, Clyde Hemric, Lawrence Hemric, Walter Hemric, and an infant brother.

Bonnie was a faithful member of Mining Ridge Baptist Church. She loved her family and her church family. She always enjoyed getting her hair done each week. Bonnie is survived by her children, Tommy Atkins, Carolyn (Eddie) Arander; grandchildren, Anthony McCann, Josh Atkins, Monique Atkins, Michelle Atkins, Misty Barnes; numerous great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at Mining Ridge Baptist Church in State Road on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11 AM, officiated by Pastor Terry Longworth. The family will receive family and friends from 10 to 11 AM at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Gardens in State Road.
