Bonnie Rae Benge

September 24, 1940 — November 24, 2025

Jonesville

Mrs. Bonnie Rae Hull Benge of Jonesville, age 85, went peacefully in the early morning hours of November 24, 2025 to meet her Lord, Jesus Christ. Bonnie is now with Jesus and all her loved ones that met Jesus before her. Bonnie was born on September 24, 1940 in Surry County. She was a loving, kind, caring, and humble person. Through her best days or her toughest days, she always had an ear to listen to you without judging and would offer her advice. She never turned anyone away that needed a shoulder to lean on or a home-cooked meal. If you visited her home you were met with love and compassion. You were welcomed as though you were family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker that absolutely loved taking care of her family. Bonnie loved the Lord and never wavered in her faith. She was strong in her faith and enjoyed listening to Charles Stanley and watching Dr. David Jeremiah in her spare time. In her younger years she was a homemaker. She was a fantastic cook and baking pound cakes and chocolate pies without a recipe. One fond memory she shared with family was, as a toddler, she took her first steps down Pennsylvania Avenue. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her first husband of 29 years, Charles W Hull, Jr., a son, Charles Hull, III, and two grandsons, Ryan Patrick Stanley and Charles Hull, IV, mother, Callie Branch Lathian; stepfather, George Lthian; stepfather, Isaac Web Branch; and brother-in-law, Curtis Gordon. Left to cherish Bonnie’s memory are her husband, Earl Benge, of Jonesville, two daughters, Charlotte Grey and Kim Hull, one son Todd Hull, 8 grandchildren, Taylor Gregory, William Grey, II, Landon Thore, Lindsey Crouse, Maegan Weddle, Blake Hull, Emma Hull and Terri Hull. Her sisters, Melanie (Gary) Carpenter and Linda Gay Curtis, 14 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Benge family.
