Brenda East

Brenda East, 79, of Hamptonville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2026. She was born on October 3, 1947.

Brenda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Wayne East, and her parents, James and Evelyn (Mickles) Hepler.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Johnny (Kathy) East, and Kimberly Parks (Patrick); her grandchildren, Matthew East (Lisa), Brittany East, Ryan Parks (Tiffany), and Austin Parks (Lauren); her great-grandchildren, Sophia Parks, Adalynn Parks, Cameron Parks, and Maverick Parks; her sisters, Janet Joyner (Wayne) and Debbie Lentz (Tom); and a very special friend, Paul Matthews.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the hospice in Yadkinville for their compassionate care and kindness during Brenda’s final days.

A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
