Mrs. Candy Mae Bowman, age 49, went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2022. Candy was born in Yadkin County on April 18, 1972 to Jimmy Bowman and Dorothy Chapel.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Angel Wishon; maternal grandparents, Marshall and Lucy Hutchens; paternal grandparents, Irene Cox and Robert Bowman.

Candy enjoyed walking and loved being outside.  She was very crafty and enjoyed making all kinds of things.  Candy was a Mary Kay Consultant and a Domestic Violence Advocate.  She always put others first and was always willing to lend a helping hand.  Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sharon (Bobby) Bennett; grandchildren, Riley Bennett, Madison Bennett; parents, Jimmy Bowman and Dorothy Chapel.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 11 AM at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. George Evans officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Harmony Grove Cemetery in Yadkinville, NC.  Online condolences may be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
