Carolyn Bernard Foster

Mrs. Carolyn Bernard Foster, 88, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026. She was born on August 16, 1938. Carolyn was a surgical scheduler at Carolina Urology for over 45 years. She was an avid lover of shoes and had a great collection of them. Carolyn loved to shop, especially from Avon and for Tupperware. She was an excellent cook and was well known for making the very best coffee cake, macaroni salad, and sweet potato casserole. Her pride and joy were her great-grandbabies. She was a member of Courtney Baptist Church. Her whole life revolved around the church and she truly loved everything about it. Carolyn was so involved there and served in various rolls throughout her lifetime there, one of the most notable being on the “clown committee”, where she would dress as a clown. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by a daughter, Frankye White; granddaughter, Courtney Foster (Will Davis); and great-grandsons, Evin Kelley, Tucker Davis, and Dawson Davis. Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen C. Foster and a granddaughter, Cheyenne White.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7, 2026 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. in the Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor James Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Courtney Baptist Church. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Foster family.
