Yadkinville-  Mrs. Carolyn Virginia Stanley Gregory, 75, of Shacktown Road passed away peacefully Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Pruitt Health Care of Elkin.  She was born March 16, 1948 in McDowell County, West Virginia to the late Walter and Ruth Melton Stanley.  Mrs. Gregory worked in health care most of her life as a Nurses Aide.  She was a loving, devoted,  mother, and grandmother to her family and loved spending time with all of them.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Shawn Raymond Clemins, an infant brother, and by her sisters, Betty Hayes, Patsy Marshall, Sandra Lucion, and Sharon Stanley.  Surviving are her daughter, Tina Heeb and her husband, David of Boonville; grandchildren, Cody Pennington, Kaely Williams, Danielle Amick, Haleigh Clemins, Nathan Clemins; great-grandchildren, Holly, Dallas, and Tanner Pennington, Haven Ross, Tristen Williams; her sister, Joan Hamrick of Winston-Salem; and her brother, Mike Stanley of Twin Branch, West Virginia.  A Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Gregory will be 3:00 PM Saturday January 20, 2024 at Island Ford Baptist Church by Rev. Charlie Kennedy.  Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Gregory Family.
