Cathy Burrus

Cathy “Grandma” Burrus went to be with her Lord and Savior on the 14th of May, 2026. She was born to the late Hal and Adie Stanley on August 19th, 1949. Cathy attended Rockford Baptist Church and had a love for serving her Lord. She was a “crafty” woman and showed her talents by coloring. Cathy was always genuine and always made sure to tell you how she felt, regardless of whether it hurt your feelings. She loved her family deeply and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

In addition to her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Burrus. Those left to cherish her memories are her son, Marty (Brandy) Caudle; grandchildren, Hope (Edwin) Pena, Hayden Caudle, Abigail Caudle, Namya Caudle, Crystal (Jeremy) Huff, Bryan Hopkins; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle Pitts, Zaden Hopkins, Nevaeh Hopkins, J.J. Huff, Lily Huff; family friends, Raul Lopez, Aunt Ann; and her K-9 companion, Bella. No official services will take place out of respect for Cathy’s wishes. The staff of Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville will be serving the Burrus family.
