Charles Robert Lyons

Elkin – Charles Robert Lyons, 85, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2025. He was born July 22, 1940 in Surry County to the late Robert Henry Lyons and Pauline Gant Lyons.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Michael Charles Lyons, and his loyal K-9 companion, Stone Boy.

He is survived by his son Marty (Mandy) Lyons, his sister Nancy Lyons, his grandchildren, Brooke (Michael) Sloan, Payton Lyons, and Hagen Lyons, his great-grandchildren, Brinley Sloan, Salem Sloan, and Kason Sloan, and a special cousin, Karen Gant.

A memorial service for Mr. Lyons will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville by James Holt and Curtis Bauske.
