Charles Alfred Wagoner

Mr. Charles Alfred Wagoner, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 28, 2024, following a brief illness. Alfred was born in Forsyth County, NC on May 2, 1935, to the late Harvey Mitchell Wagoner and Vetral Bryant Wagoner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Waddell Wagoner; his three brothers, Roy, Richard (Dickie) and Billy Wagoner; and his sister-in-law, Della Wagoner. He is survived by his daughter, Gwen (Tim) Wolfe of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Matt (Ashleigh) Wolfe of Waxhaw and Phil (Ruth) Wolfe of Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Chavis, Kathleen Stone, Flynn Wolfe and Norah Wolfe; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Alfred will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Arlington First Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Alford and Rev. Matty Ponce de Leon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mr. Wagoner. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Arlington First Baptist Church Building Fund, 345 South Main Street, Jonesville, NC 28642.
