Charleston "Charlie" Claire Spillman

Miss Charleston “Charlie” Claire Spillman, only 10 days old, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Forsyth Medical Center. Charlie was born on May 8, 2024 to Matthew and Madison Spillman. While her life on earth was extremely short, she fought a hard fight and made a big impact on so many hearts. She will be deeply missed by all those that loved her.

She was preceded in death by paternal great-grandparents, Harold Long and Herman Spillman; maternal great-grandparent, Benny Swaim; and great-great-grandparent, Jerry Renegar. She is survived by her loving parents, Matthew and Madison; maternal grandparents, Jeremiann and Chad Swaim; paternal grandparents, Danny and Susanne Spillman; maternal great-grandparents, Cindy and Steve Bullins, Henry and Mary Davis, and Rita Shore; maternal great-great-grandparent, Doris Renegar; paternal great-grandparents, Carolyn Long and Mary Spillman; aunts and uncles, Megan Swaim, Robbie (Lindsey) Swaim, Lincoln (Emily) Davis, Makinna Swaim, Maggie Spillman, and Kanan Davis; and special friends, Matthew, Tara, and Oakleigh Flinchum. 

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Solid Rock Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the church with Pastor Jason Penley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made in Charlie’s honor to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Piedmont Triad, 419 South Hawthorne Road, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center’s NICU for the loving and compassionate care given to Charlie and her family, and to everyone who has been praying for them during this difficult time.
