Claude Harrison Carter

Mr. Claude Harrison Carter, 77, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. He was born in Forsyth County on November 22, 1946 to Harry Grey Carter and Emmaleen Sloop Carter. Claude loved the Lord and was a faithful member of New Day Church. He truly loved his church and enjoyed his church group the “Prime Timers”. Claude enjoyed socializing, fishing, and going to breakfast every morning with his buddies. He always had a smile and was so happy. Claude dearly loved his family. He will be missed by all who had the special privilege to know him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Church Carter and a brother, Ronald Grey Carter. He is survived by his sisters, Deborah C. (Micheal) Holleman and Lynn Williams; sister-in-law, Rebecca Carter; step son, Kerry (Sandra) Church; step grandson, Colby Church; numerous nieces and nephews; and many special breakfast friends.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at New Day Church with Pastor Jeff Davis officiating. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the church. A private family interment will be held following the funeral service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Day Church, 2043 Hemric Mountain Rd, Hamptonville, NC, 27020. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Jonesville is serving the Carter family.
