Mr. Constantino Zamora Cortez, 84, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2024. He was born in Mexico on January 20, 1940 to Jesus Zamora and Carmen Cortez. Constantino enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. He will be missed by everyone who had the privilege to know him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alicia Zamora Castro; and son, Carmelo Zamora Castro. He is survived by his children, Diego Zamora Castro, Dario (Patricia) Zamora Castro, Saul (Lourdes) Zamora Castro, Uvaldo Zamora Castro, Gonzalo (Irma) Zamora Castro, Martin (Irma) Zamora Castro, Norma (Wvence) Zamora Cortez, Yolanda (Andres) Zamora Calderon, and Veronica (Jesus) Zamora Duran; numerous grandchildren; and brothers, Florentino Zamora Cortez.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Yadkinville Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Zamora Cortez family.
