Dean Dowell

Mr. Ronald “Dean” Dowell, 63, passed away Friday, June 5, 2026 at Yadkin Nursing Care. He was born June 25, 1962 in Forsyth County to the late Harold Dean Dowell and Betty Jean Long Dowell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jesse Dowell. Dean enjoyed fishing and playing the guitar. He is survived by his daughter, Jenna Lee Dowell Torres (Carlos); grandchildren, Jesse Torres, Adrian Torres; his brothers, Kenneth Dowell (Jaclyn), Tommy Dowell; nephews, Matthew Dowell, Kaleb Dowell, Dylan Dowell. The family will receive friends, Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM, in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Kenny Gooden officiating. Burial will follow in the Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Yadkin Nursing Care Center and Liberty Hospice for the loving care given to Dean. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Dowell family.
