Deborah “Debbie” Johnson Bryant, 69, of Hamptonville, North Carolina, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 21, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 11, 1956 in Surry County to the late Dennis and Eunice Johnson. She had an Engineering Degree from Surry Community College and retired from Yadtel after 27 years of service. Debbie loved her family. She had many roles and titles as sister, wife, mommy, Aunt Debra, and her favorite as Nana. Debbie was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church of Hamptonville.

In addition to her parents, Debbie was also preceded in death by husband James “Shorty” Armstrong and niece Heather Smith. She is survived by her husband of 12 years Darrel Bryant; children Tracy Frye, Jason (Taylor) Tedder, Sloan (Kaitlin)Bryant; grandchildren Zayden Tedder, Shiloh Bryant, Shepherd Bryant, Vivian Tedder; sister Becky (Jeff) Smith; brother Todd (Sandi) Johnson; nieces/nephews Matthew (Lindsay) Johnson, Amber (Brandon) Walker, Hunter (Katie) Johnson; great nieces/nephews Sadie Johnson, Bryson Walker, Warren Walker.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:30 PM Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Mountain View Baptist Church in Hamptonville with Rev. Anthony Silvers officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Baptist cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 2:00PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mountain View Baptist Church Family Life Center Fund, 1232 Mountain View Church Road, Hamptonville, NC.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Trellis Palliative Care and the staff of the Critical Care Unit at Forsyth Medical Center.
