Debra Nance Childress

Yadkinville Mrs. Debra Lynn Nance Childress, 65, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at SECU Hospice Care Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Childress was born November 12, 1956 in Yadkin County to John William and Lucy Reavis Nance. She enjoyed collecting antiques, art, and trips to the beach. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by two sisters, infant Joyce Ann Nance and Betty Haire; and a brother, Lloyd Nance. She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Larry Monroe Childress; children, Jeremy Childress and Wesley (Amy) Childress; grandchildren, Savannah (Dylan) Shaw and Jacob Childress; great grandson, Hunter Shaw; a sister, Patty (Charles) Renegar; a brother, Larry (Edna) Nance; a niece, Susan (Charles) Soots; and nephews, Billy Nance, Kenneth Nance, and Darrel Nance. A Celebration of Life will be conducted at 2:00PM, Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SECU Hospice Care Center, 243 N. Lee Ave. Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of SECU Hospice Home for the loving care given to Mrs. Childress during this difficult journey.
