Diane Hardy Norman

Mrs. Diane Hardy Norman, 73, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Northern Surry Hospital. Mrs. Norman was born April 9, 1953 in Surry County to the late Ruebin Taylor Hardy and Ruby Gray Hancock Hardy. Diane loved researching family history, reading, and cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, she enjoyed getting to know people, and she never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Gail Allen Norman; sister, Tanya Denice Hardy; and nephew, Heath Mauldin. Mrs. Norman is survived by her children, Pam (Ronnie) Stanley and Jeffery (Kandice) Norman; grandchildren, Cameron Stanley (Jade Vestal), Hannah Stanley (Ty Benton), and Garrett Norman; great grandchildren, Lillian Faye Stanley, and Remi Kate Benton (due in August 2026); sister, Donna (Jerome) Mauldin; sisters-in-law, Daphne (Randy) Venable and Denise Norman (Joey Snow); brother-in-law Dennis (Patsy) Norman; and special niece, Heather (Richie) Holbrook. The family will receive friends from Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM, in the Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam Baptist Church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Siloam Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 6909 Siloam Road Siloam, NC 27047. Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend is serving the Norman family.
