Ronda-Mr. Dorman Claryce Pinnix, 94, of Ronda, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021 at Iredell Hospital in Statesville. He was born in Yadkin County on August 26, 1927 to Milo and Augusta Shore Pinnix. He was a farmer and carpenter, and loved gardening. He enjoyed all animals. Mr. Pinnix served in the U.S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Leamer Peele Pinnix; and three sisters, Muriel Chambers, Bryde Ireland, and Vera Hudson.

Surviving are a son, Daniel Claryce Pinnix; a daughter, Diana (Barry) Elledge; two grandchildren, Daniel Lee (Melinda) Pinnix, Sr. and Dana Pinnix (Jeff) Wiles; one great-grandson, Daniel Lee Pinnix, Jr.; two sisters, Lou Parker and Etta (Johnny) Arnold; 6 step-great-grandchildren; 11 step-great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2:00PM at Crestwood Memorial Gardens with Rev. Stephen Evans officiating with military honors provided by Yadkin VFW Post #10346 and The NC Memorial Honor Guard. A special thank you to his caregiver, Bonnie Stevens.
