Dorothy Ann Davis Ratledge

February 8, 1933 – July 3, 2026

Dorothy Ann “Dot” Ratledge, 93 was born to the late Howard “Alco” and Beulah Brann Davis. She was a lifelong resident of the Enon Community. Dot was a faithful member of Enon Baptist Church for many years and was active in different church committees while her health permitted. In earlier years she enjoyed baking and preparing for showers, weddings and other celebrations in the community and church family. She was an excellent cook. Dot briefly worked in the public sector with Hanes prior to becoming a full-time homemaker. She enjoyed being outdoors working with flowers, gardening and feeding the birds.

In addition to her parents, Dot was preceded in death by her husband James “Pete” Ratledge, son Bradley Ratledge, brother Jimmy Davis and sister Carol Jean Davis Snow. Dot is survived by her son Eric Ratledge (Marlene Minish), daughter-in-law Amanda Ratledge, her beloved grandson, James “Tyler” (Kim) Ratledge, three great- grandchildren Annabell, Harper and James “Reece” Ratledge, and two special sisters-in-law, Janet Davis and Myrtle Ratledge plus other extended family, nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Brookstone Terrace of Clemmons for their compassionate care over the last three years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Enon Baptist Church 6321 E. Old US421 Hwy, East Bend, NC 27018 or donor’s choice.

In fulfilling her wishes, the service will be private. Gentry Family Funeral Service of East Bend is serving the Ratledge family.
