Eddie "Joe" Shermer

East Bend – Eddie “Joe” Shermer, 66, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023.  He was born March 24, 1957 in Forsyth County to the late Alvin “Buddy” Washington Shermer, Jr. and Virginia “Jenny” Greene Shermer.  Surviving is his wife, Wanda Rucker Shermer; daughters, Meagan Shermer, Nikki (Joseph Wade) Shermer; sister, Kay (Ed) Choplin; brother, Mark (Penny) Shermer; nephews, Jacob Shermer, Tim Beeding; loyal companion, Sadie; and other family members.  His funeral service will be held 2:00PM Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Larry Daniels.  Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Friends Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00PM Wednesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  Memorials can be made to Mt.
