Edna Shugart Shore

Mrs. Edna Elizabeth Shugart Shore, 76, passed away at her residence, Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was born February 12, 1947 in Forsyth County to the late Frank Wilson Shugart and Delphine Ruth Casstevens Shugart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Len Shore, and her brother, Larry Shugart. She is survived by her brother, Alex (Kay) Shugart; nieces and nephews Jacob (Brittany) Shugart, Scott (Elisa) Shugart, Len Swaim, “Mikey” (Jana) Swaim, Kimberly Marshall, Katherine (Joe) Neal, Kris (Jill) Dockery; great niece and great nephew, Chloe and Callen Shugart and her beloved K9 companion, “Emmy”. She loved traveling, and was a lifelong Wake Forest basketball fan. Mrs. Shore earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from UNC Greensboro and worked as a CPA until retirement. Edna was well known for her cooking skills, as she had a large home cooked meal every Saturday for family and friends, and had extra for anyone that stopped by. The family will receive friends at Gentry Family Funeral Service, Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:00 AM in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Gaylord officiating. Burial will follow at Mitchell’s Chapel UMC Cemetery. The family would like to thank Vicki Martinez and Sha’Veh Martinez for the round the clock loving care and blessing they were to Edna.
