Rougemont, NC-  Mrs. Elizabeth Anice Golden Davis, 79, passed away peacefully  Monday July 11, 2022 at Duke Regional Medical Center in Durham.  She was born November 17, 1942 in Yadkin County to the late Howard and Gladys Bell Golden.  Mrs. Davis worked as a veterinary technician for several years in Durham, NC.  She loved animals, going antiquing at different festivals and shops, and loved the UNC Tarheels.  Her favorite love was for her family and the time she spent with each of them, especially her grand and great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Benny Kent Ashley.  Surviving are her beloved husband, William Thomas Davis, of the home; her daughter, Kim Ashley (Adam) Hicks, Snow Camp, NC; a son, Corey Wayne McKinney, Hamptonville; grandchildren, Sloane (Westley) Mitchem, Jonesville, NC,  Ashley Cox, Millers Creek, NC; great-grandchildren, Bristol and Presley Mitchem, Kayden Blackwell.  Her graveside service will be held 11 00 AM Friday, July 15, 2022 at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Ronnie Helton.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials may be made to your local Alzheimers Association.
