Mollie Eloise Sparks Parks transitioned to her heavenly home on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Eloise was born October 14, 1931, in Wilkes County to the late Sanford Louis and Eva Mitchell Sparks. She was a graduate of Union Grove High School and retired from the medical field after 44 years of service in the office of Dr. I. G. Scherer. Everyone knew she loved working in her flowers, keeping her home immaculate and serving her Lord. Eloise was a faithful member of Sweet Home Baptist Church where she was involved in many church activities and played the piano for over 50 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Billy Sparks.
One of her greatest joys was her family. Eloise was married to William M. (Bill) Parks who survives of the home, daughter Joni (Cy) Brooks of High Point, son Tim (Angela) Parks of Union Grove, grandsons Weston (Megan) Parks of Union Grove, Zach (Adeline) Brooks of Charlotte, great grandsons Titus Parks and Wyatt Brooks. Also surviving are her brothers Philip (Janis) Sparks of Elijay, Georgia and Jerry (Patricia) Sparks of Union Grove along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Eloise Parks will be held 2 pm Thursday at Sweet Home Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at the church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the Building Fund at Sweet Home Baptist Church 6017 Hunting Creek Church Road Union Grove, NC 28689. Arrangements by Gentry Family Funeral Service, Yadkinville and Cumby Family Funeral Service, High Point.
