Emily Cook Mitchell

Mocksville Mrs. Emily Loretta Cook Estes Mitchell, 52, passed away Friday, April 7, 2023 at her home. Mrs. Mitchell was born November 16, 1970 in Iredell County to the late Robert and Ruby Vestal Cook. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Mrs. Mitchell is survived by her husband of 21 years, Sam Pierre Mitchell; children, Travis (Jackie) Estes, Tara (Thomas) Lunsford, and Cain Mitchell (McKenna Reynolds); grandchildren, Shelby, Elizabeth, Tatum, Tripp, Jose, Julie, and Gabby; a sister, Lorraine (Kenny) Calloway; and a brother, David (Tammy) Cook. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday, April 16, 2023 at North Iredell Rescue Squad with Rev. David Kiser and Chaplain Steve Wooten officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Rescue Squad. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Mitchell family.
