Emma Lou Lytton

     Emma Lou Caudle Lytton, 72, passed away on the 12th of September, 2026. She was born on February 7th, 1954, to the late Hoke and Oralou Entreken. She had a passion for helping others and showed this by working as a private CNA for her community. Later in her life, she got her commercial drivers license and drove a truck for Christy Trucking in Mocksville. During Emma’s time trucking, her and her husband would drive as a team, using the opportunity to travel and see the country. When she wasn’t traveling with her husband, she would spend her time reading her bible, and tending to her garden. Emma would also enjoy playing cards and sharing her drawings with her friends and family. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.

     In addition to her parents, Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Calvin Lytton; and her son, Eric Ray Caudle. She is survived by her daughter, Julia Caudle Stout; grandchildren, Dustin (Nicole) Stout, Alexis Stout; great grandchildren, Hadley Stout, and Sadie Faw.

     A funeral service will be held on September 17th, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Courtney Baptist Church with Minister Paul Sloan officiating. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 12:00 to 2:00 PM. Burial will take place following the funeral service in the church cemetery. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to the loving and kind staff of Willowbrook Rehabilitation and Mt. Valley Hospice for their care and support shown to Emma. The family requests that memorials be made to either Mt. Valley Hospice or Willowbrook. They would also like to thank Emma’s special family members, Carolyn and Donnie Reavis, for the help and support they showed Emma. The staff of Gentry Family Funeral Service will be serving the Lytton family.
