Evelyn Wall Bryant Turner

Hamptonville Mrs. Evelyn Estelle Wall Bryant Turner, 93, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019 at Accordius Healthcare. Mrs. Turner was born May 8, 1925 in Surry County to Early Lincoln and Mary Vestal Wall. She attended Mtn. View Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, cooking and quilting. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Turner was preceded in death by two husbands, George Bryant and Harvey Turner; one sister and four brothers. She is survived by three children, Charles Spencer Bryant, David Wayne (Peggy) Bryant, and Sandra Kay (Tony) Henderson; five grandchildren, Julie (Michael) Finney, Christy (Jason) Lister, Michael (Rebecca) Henderson, Melanie (Erick) Bumbulis, and April Sauls; eleven great grandchildren; and a special niece, Donna Dillard. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Tim Tucker and Rev. Frank Blankenship officiating. Burial will follow at Berean Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Berean Baptist Church or Mtn. View Baptist Church. The family wishes to thank the staff of Accordius Healthcare for the loving care given to Mrs. Turner.
