MOCKSVILLE -  Faye Carolyn Jones Barnes, 87, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Yadkin Nursing Center.  She was born September 18, 1936 in Yadkin County to the late Rev. Willie Jones, Sr. and Robeana Huffman Jones.  Mrs. Barnes was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.  She enjoyed cooking her delicious meals for her family, and especially her grandchildren spending time together at her house.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Willie Jones, Jr., Donald Jones, and infant brother, Jerry Jones.  Surviving are her beloved children, Jeffery (Margaret D.) Sizemore, Kandy McEwen (Mark Lawrence); grandchildren, Jamie (Gray) Brown, Kayla (Jason) McEwen, Amy (Micah) Williams; great-grandchildren, Emery, Eli, Mason, Lilah, Eleanor, Maddex, Maci; her sister, Jessie Marshall; and brothers, Aldene Jones and wife Elizabeth, and Rev. Bobby Jones and wife, Ann.  A graveside service for Mrs. Barnes will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church by her brother, Rev. Bobby Jones.  The family would like to express their gratitude to her sister Jessie Ruth Marshall for all of the loving care given to Faye through the years.
