Frankie Sloan Cheek

Yadkinville – Frankie Sloan Cheek, 79, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2022. She was born April 10, 1943 in Guilford County to the late Vander Sloan and Sallie Mae Wooten Sloan. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Marshall Sloan, Carroll Sloan. Surviving is her husband, Jackson William “J.W.” Cheek; children, Mark (Candy) Cheek, Shannon (Brad) White; grandchildren, Morgan (Jared) Collins, Jordyn White; sisters, Charlotte Steelman, Judy (Pete) Knight; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 3:00PM Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at Flat Rock Baptist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Lancaster and Dr. Joey Tomlin. Burial will follow in church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM Wednesday, prior to the service, at Flat Rock Baptist Church. Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 N.
