Yadkinville – Frankie Lee Hutchens Cranfill, 86, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025. She was born February 14, 1939 in Yadkin County to the late Leonard Buck Hutchens and Josephine Hobson Hutchens. Frankie was a member at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School class for several years. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years of service as a mail carrier. Frankie enjoyed spending time with her friends, but her pride and joy was spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Allen Cranfill. She is survived by her children, Michael (Cheri) Cranfill, Angie (Eric) Jester; grandchildren, Tyler (Jessica) Cranfill, Lanie Sierra Jester; sister, Ardith Reece; brother, Tony (Doris) Hutchens; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at South Oak Ridge Baptist Church by the Rev. Chris Hauser and the Rev. Phil Beavers. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers, Catherine Transou, Jane, Malorie, Sonya, Kalyn, Jill, Willowbrook Nursing Care Center and Brookridge Retirement Community for all of the love and care shown to Frankie.
