Fred B. Sloan

Hamptonville – Fred B. Sloan, 94, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023.  He was born November 20, 1928 in Yadkin County to the late Chester Cornish Sloan and Maggie Mullis Sloan.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Louise Johnson Sloan; daughter, Lynn Sloan; several brothers and sisters.  Surviving is his son, Freddy (Beth) Sloan; grandchildren, Matthew (Charlotte) Sloan, Maggie Sloan Sizemore, Katie (Richard) Tysinger, Bill Sloan, Bobby (Amber) Sloan, Crystal Sloan, Emily (Kris Cleary) Sloan; great grandchildren, Austin (Laural) Sloan, Beau Sizemore, Sophia Smith, Holden Sloan, Sydney Sloan, Cadince, Payton, and Theo.  A private service will be held at a later date.  Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 N Lee Ave, Yadkinville, NC  27055.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Sloan family.  Online condolences can be made to www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
