Freddie Revels, Jr.

Mr. Freddie Revels, Jr., passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025. He was born in Robeson County, NC on December 19, 1946 to Freddie Lee Revels, Sr. and Blanche Locklear Revels. Freddie was a member of Rennert Church. He loved racing, especially Nascar. Freddie enjoyed being outdoors to go fishing while his health allowed. He lived a simple life and was well loved.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Revels. Freddie is survived by his loving wife, Peggie Harris Revels; two sons, Buddy J. Revels and Richard Revels; sisters, Faye (Larry) Locklear, Agnes Branch, Betty (Bobby) Spencer, Sue (Billy) Locklear, Mamie (Jimmy) Locklear, Dell (Michael) Carter, and Ann (Stanley) Locklear; brothers, “Pop” Luther (Mildred) Revels, Don (Vickey) Revels, and Earl (Glenda) Revels; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Raeford Town Cemetery in Raeford, NC. Memorial contributions may be made in Freddie’s memory to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, PO Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Revels family.
