Gail Allen Norman

East Bend

Mr. Gail Allen Norman, 74, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center.  Mr. Norman was born May 11, 1948 in Surry County to Moir Clayton and Essie Mae Phillips Norman.  He enjoyed woodworking and refinishing furniture.  Mr. Norman was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam War, and was a member of the American Legion Post #336.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Norman was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Gray Norman and Gary Clayton Norman.  He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Diane Hardy Norman; two children, Pam (Ronnie) Stanley and Jeffery (Kandice) Norman; grandchildren, Cameron (Morgan) Stanley, Hannah Stanley (Chris), and Garrett Norman; great grandchild, Salem Tate; sisters Daphne (Randy) Venable and Denise Norman (Joey Snow); brother, Dennis (Patsy) Norman; a niece, Tonya (Andy) Hawks; and a nephew, Tony (Stephanie) Venable.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in East Bend with Pastor Jarred Seal and Pastor Brian Poindexter officiating.  Burial will follow at Siloam Baptist Church cemetery with full military honors provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard.   The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM, Friday evening at the funeral home. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Siloam Baptist Church, 6909 Siloam Road Siloam, NC 27047.
